VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) are hydrocarbon compounds that volatilize in the air and generates odor and ozone. VOCs are released by burning fuels, such as gasoline, wood, coal, or natural gas. They are also released by solvents, paints and other products used and stored at home and in workplaces. Benzene, formaldehyde, toluene, xylene, ethylene, styrene, and acetaldehyde are part of VOC, which is well known.
VOC is a toxic chemical with a carcinogen element that causes damage to the nervous system through skin contact or breathing inhalation.
